What makes you happy?
Friends, family, your job?
In my case its my family, Chelly and whenever Australia beats England (or anyone else)
in any sporting event.
But I’m also happy today as I’ve just discovered I live in the 2nd happiest town in the UK.
Proceeded only by Bournemouth in Dorset, 77 percent of the people surveyed said they were happy to live in Llandudno.
The survey, carried out by first direct questioned people on what makes them happy, friends, job, lifestyle etc.
I must admit that I love living here. The tourists can be a bit irksome in the summer months, – as they have a notoriously alarming way of looking in shop windows and stepping backwards into my path, making Chelly sidestep and dance llike a seal in the midst of a hoard of polar bears!
However, we have lots of shops, a huge array of cafes and restaurants and some great attractions nearby, such as Conwy castle and the Welsh mountain zoo, Colwyn Bay.
We were also nominated the 6th happiest town in Wales.
Our beach is certainly nowhere near as sandy as the ones in Australia – and our seagulls are something not to be trifled with.
I’d certainly recommend visiting it – then you can make up your own mind!
There is plenty of space for dogs to run, the locals are friendly and harmless – and the sun even makes an appearance now and again!
Bill Bryson said it was his favourite Welsh town – and you can’t get a better acalade than that.
So, come and visit Llandudno – we’ll be happy to see you here! But remember, our seagulls our something else! You have been warned!

Your seagulls certainly are something else. My sister-in-law still talks with indignation about the time she sat down with a cheese sandwich and one of the seagulls stole it before she’d had even a bite! They pinched her ice-cream once as well!
